Arkansas State Police and Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office investigate after human remains found along highway

Lonoke County, Arkansas – Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered along a rural highway in Lonoke County on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, officials received a call at approximately 12:10 p.m. on October 17 reporting a body found on the roadside of Arkansas State Highway 256. Responding deputies arrived at the scene to confirm the report and secure the area.

At this time, officials have not released any information regarding the identity of the victim. Likewise, no details have been shared about potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the individual’s death.
