Arkansas Repertory Theatre offers two free performances for the community in partnership with local schools and organizations

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Repertory Theatre is offering two exciting and free performances this spring, aimed at engaging and entertaining the community through education and creativity. These performances are part of the theatre’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible cultural experiences for all.

One of the performances is in collaboration with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interdistrict Magnet Elementary School, marking the return of the Downtown Playmakers Project. On Saturday, April 16, at 6 p.m., the school will present “From Showers to Flowers: The Springtime Plays.” This vibrant showcase promises to bring together the talents of young students, offering a celebration of the spring season through theatre. The event will be held at the school’s venue, allowing parents, students, and members of the community to witness the blossoming creativity of the students.

The second free performance is in partnership with Easterseals and features the Unlimited Stages-Barrier Free Theatre. On Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m., the production of “Skylarking” will take the stage. This performance is part of the theatre’s initiative to promote inclusion and provide a platform for those with disabilities. “Skylarking” offers a unique and powerful perspective, showcasing the talents of individuals in an accessible and welcoming environment.

While both performances are free, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre encourages donations to support future community programs. These events are an opportunity for the public to experience the rich cultural offerings of the theatre without the barrier of ticket prices.
