Little Rock, Arkansas – An Arkansas lottery player is celebrating a life-changing payday after winning a $75,000 top prize on an instant scratch-off game, while another lucky ticket holder may not yet realize they are sitting on a $50,000 Powerball prize that remains unclaimed.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery recently announced the two winning stories, one ending in celebration and the other still waiting for its final chapter. Officials are encouraging Powerball players to check their tickets carefully after a winning ticket sold for the July 4 drawing has yet to be claimed.

The unclaimed Powerball ticket was purchased at Jordan’s Kwik Stop 9 in Harrisburg. It matched enough numbers in the July 4 drawing to earn a $50,000 prize.

The winning numbers drawn were 17, 38, 46, 50, and 69. The Powerball number was 20, while the Power Play multiplier was 2.

Lottery officials noted that the winner has 180 days from the drawing date to come forward and collect the prize. Until then, the valuable ticket remains unclaimed, leaving officials hopeful that its owner will soon discover the winning numbers.

While one player is still unaware of their good fortune, another Arkansas resident has already experienced the excitement of a major win.

W. Lynch of Dardanelle recently claimed a $75,000 top prize after purchasing a Mega Cash Crossword instant ticket. The $3 scratch-off game turned an ordinary purchase into an unforgettable moment.

Lynch bought the winning ticket at Smokers Discount in Dardanelle but chose not to scratch it immediately. Instead, he waited until he returned home, where he revealed the ticket alongside his wife.

That decision made the moment even more memorable.

“I’m always next to him when he plays,” Lynch’s wife said.

As the symbols on the ticket were uncovered, the couple quickly realized something unusual had happened. What they initially expected to be a modest prize turned into a six-figure surprise.

“You play, thinking you’ll win maybe $30, and then all of a sudden, whoa! This one’s different!” Lynch said.

The unexpected discovery left both of them struggling to believe what they were seeing. Rather than celebrating immediately, they found themselves checking the ticket several times to make sure the prize amount was correct.

The shock was just as overwhelming for Lynch’s wife.

“I was too shocked to think,” she said. “It took me a minute.”

After the couple confirmed the win, they shared the news with the rest of their family. Lottery officials said relatives were equally surprised by the outcome, with Lynch’s son believing the prize could not have gone to someone more deserving.

The two lottery stories highlight very different moments for Arkansas players. One family is already celebrating a remarkable $75,000 windfall, while somewhere in the state another player may unknowingly be carrying a Powerball ticket worth $50,000.

Lottery officials continue to encourage anyone who purchased a Powerball ticket for the July 4 drawing in Harrisburg to double-check their numbers. With six months available to claim the prize, there is still plenty of time for the mystery winner to step forward—but until then, one of Arkansas’ newest lottery prizes remains waiting for its rightful owner.
