Arkansas Insurance Day will gather agents, regulators, and industry leaders to discuss key changes and emerging trends

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Insurance Department is set to host the second annual Arkansas Insurance Day (I-Day) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Little Rock, bringing together insurance professionals from across the region to discuss emerging trends, legislative changes, and industry challenges.

The event will gather property and casualty insurance producers, company representatives, regulators, and legislators for a full day of presentations and discussions on topics shaping the insurance landscape in Arkansas and beyond. Attendees will explore recent laws passed during the 2025 legislative session, infrastructure projects like the replacement of the I-55 Bridge over the Mississippi River, and severe weather patterns that have influenced risk management practices following destructive storms this past spring.

“Arkansas I-Day is the must-attend event for insurance professionals looking to grow, connect, and help shape the future of the industry,” said Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald. “It’s an opportunity for us to focus on resilience and ways the industry and consumers can work together to build a stronger, more sustainable Arkansas.”

This year’s program will feature panels of insurance commissioners from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, providing attendees with a rare opportunity to hear directly from regulators and policymakers about regional challenges and opportunities in the insurance market. Discussions will include strategies for improving consumer protection, fostering industry innovation, and preparing for natural disasters.

In addition to policy-focused sessions, the event will highlight programs designed to help contractors, home inspectors, and insurance professionals enhance their services. Attendees will learn about the FORTIFIED program, which promotes construction standards that reduce property damage from severe weather events, and gain insights into how certification from the Insurance Institute of Business and Home Safety can lead to participation in the Strengthen Arkansas Homes program.

Organizers hope that by connecting professionals, regulators, and policymakers, I-Day will facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the development of strategies to strengthen the insurance industry across the state. The event aims to balance technical guidance, networking, and actionable takeaways that participants can apply in their businesses and communities.
