Arkansas Department of Health to host free maternal and women’s health expo in Springdale on October 10
Arkansas – The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) is inviting expectant mothers, new parents, and families across Northwest Arkansas to attend a free health expo in Springdale this weekend, offering information and resources focused on women’s health and pregnancy-related care.
The Maternal & Women’s Health Expo is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Jones Center, located at 922 E. Emma Avenue in Springdale.
The event is open to the public, and no registration is required.
Organized as part of the department’s Claim Your Care campaign, the expo aims to help women and families find healthcare services and support before, during, and after pregnancy.
Rather than requiring residents to contact different organizations individually, the event will bring healthcare professionals, community groups, and local service providers together at one location.
Visitors will have an opportunity to speak directly with representatives, ask questions, and learn about programs available to families throughout Northwest Arkansas.
The event will cover several areas of maternal and women’s health, including pregnancy care, postpartum health, breastfeeding assistance, and family planning.

Attendees can also receive information about immunizations and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, commonly known as WIC.
Representatives from ADH programs, Arkansas Health Units, and community organizations will be available to explain services and help visitors better understand their healthcare options.
The department said the resources offered at the expo will reflect the needs of the region’s diverse population, including Marshallese and Hispanic communities.
This approach is intended to make health information and support more accessible to families with different backgrounds and healthcare needs.
In addition to educational resources, the event will include a limited distribution of baby supplies.
Walmart has donated 100 size 1 diapers and 100 packages of baby wipes for attendees. The supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last.
Families interested in receiving these items are encouraged to keep in mind that availability is limited.
The expo will also provide opportunities for local media to learn more about the department’s maternal health efforts.
Cassie Cochran, ADH Deputy Director for Public Health Programs, will be available for interviews between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Media representatives will also be permitted to film activities taking place during the event.
The department has made additional materials, including videos and footage, available through its online media kit.
Through the Claim Your Care campaign, ADH is working to connect more women with healthcare information, local providers, and support services that can assist families at different stages of pregnancy and parenthood.

The October 10 event is free to attend, with activities and resources available from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Jones Center in Springdale.
