Arkansas construction group AGCAR honored as National Chapter of the Year for back-to-back achievements

The Associated General Contractors of Arkansas (AGCAR) has been named the National Chapter of the Year by the Associated General Contractors of America

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Associated General Contractors of Arkansas (AGCAR) has been named the National Chapter of the Year by the Associated General Contractors of America, marking a significant achievement as they receive this honor for the second consecutive year. The award was presented during the National and Chapter Leadership Conference on September 23, in Washington, D.C., underlining AGCAR’s continuous contributions to the construction sector in Arkansas.

AGCAR has established a remarkable milestone in the history of the 106-year-old organization by being the first state chapter to secure back-to-back victories in the small chapter division of the awards. This recognition comes as a result of their consistent efforts in legislative advocacy, membership growth, and community engagement within the industry.

In 2023 and 2024, AGCAR led a series of successful legislative initiatives that have significantly benefited building, highway, and utility contractors across Arkansas. Their achievements in influencing positive legislative changes have fortified the business environment for the construction industry statewide. Furthermore, the chapter organized 47 statewide events which saw record-breaking attendance, reflecting the vibrant community involvement and the value these events bring to industry professionals.

Moreover, AGCAR’s membership saw substantial growth, signaling a healthy and expanding professional community that supports the construction sector’s needs in Arkansas.

Upon receiving the award, AGCAR Executive Vice President Brad Spradlin expressed his gratitude and pride.

“What a great honor! I am extremely proud of our team and grateful for our member family who support our initiatives, participate in our programs and make the Arkansas construction industry such an amazing environment to work in,” said AGCAR Executive Vice President Brad Spradlin.
