An actor talks about his experience filming Red One, a new Christmas film

Little Rock, Arkansas – If you’re in search of a delightful Christmas film to enjoy, consider one that features the contributions of an Arkansas native!

Red One is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime, featuring prominent stars such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu. However, keep an eye out for Caleb Carlon, a name to remember.

Carlon has always had a connection to movies, starting from Benton High School and extending to the big screen.

“It was truly an experience that involved the entire family,” Carlon stated. “On weekends, we would gather together as a family. My dad would set up a projector, and we would rearrange the furniture to create the perfect viewing space. We’d place speakers on either side of the couch, move the couch into position, and use a blank wall to enjoy our movie nights.”

A family tradition evolved into a hobby, which has now transformed into a career. An Arkansas native is currently in Atlanta, contributing to movie sets as a member of the sound crew. His debut feature film, Red One, is a Christmas movie that premiered in November, centering on the quest to rescue Santa after his abduction.

“I felt a sense of intimidation,” Carlon expressed. “Initially, I felt quite intimidated, but I collaborated with a team that guided me through the process and provided me with crucial experience. This support helped me build the confidence I needed to eventually tackle things independently.”

Carlon had an unforgettable experience with The Rock.

“I was nearby on set, listening in, and he delivered one of the lines perfectly at one moment, and I found myself shaking my head, thinking, ‘Yeah, he really nailed that.’ I was about 15 feet away from him when he turned to look at me and gave me a wink,” Carlon shared.

In his role as a sound utility, he collaborates closely with the talent during filming. He mentioned that engaging with celebrities is enjoyable, yet it truly feels like just another day at work.

He claims that a journey would not have been achievable without the small town that influenced his development.

“I’ve heard from many people, including those who know me or my family, that they’ve gone to see it and captured a photo of my name as it appeared. That really feels great.” “It gives me a sense of happiness and makes me feel their pride in me,” Carlon expressed. “The support of my family was essential to my success.”

Carlon has just completed his largest project to date. Due to the NDA he signed, he is unable to share any details, but stay alert for something ‘unusual’ appearing on Netflix.
