Jefferson County, Arkansas – On February 16, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a supervisor at the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center (DBDC) found contraband on a person who had entered the facility as part of the “Clean Team” program, which involves the detention center as part of the inmate’s sentence rather than being housed there.
Contraband was discovered in the person’s possession, including suspected marijuana and tobacco.
The “Clean Team” member Tamara Haltiwanger was the subject of an investigation after the supervisor discovered that she smelled like marijuana.
Investigation revealed that Haltiwanger was carrying around 7 ounces of tobacco and 3.2 ounces of suspected marijuana.
The 20-year-old Haltiwagner was subsequently charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver and Furnishing Prohibited Articles, which led to his booking into the DBDC.
She will later be scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause hearing.
