Judsonia, Arkansas – Two school buses from the Riverview School District were involved in an accident Wednesday afternoon in Judsonia, prompting a response from law enforcement and an investigation by Arkansas State Police.

The crash happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on August 19. Arkansas State Police are leading the investigation into what happened and the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Despite the involvement of two school buses, officials said no children appeared to have been injured in the accident.

The buses were carrying students from the Riverview School District when the incident occurred. Emergency personnel responded to the scene after the crash, with authorities working to determine the details of the incident.

While no injuries were reported among the children, five parents requested that their children receive additional medical evaluations as a precaution. Those students were taken to Unity Health for further evaluation.

Officials did not report any serious injuries connected to the crash.

Both school buses sustained minimal damage in the accident, according to officials. The extent of the damage did not appear to result in major consequences for the buses or students involved.

The incident nevertheless prompted an immediate response because of the presence of children on the buses. Authorities are continuing to gather information as part of the investigation.

Arkansas State Police have not released additional details about what led to the accident. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are expected to review the circumstances surrounding the crash as they work to establish what happened.

The fact that no children appeared to have suffered injuries provided some relief following the incident, while the precautionary medical evaluations allowed parents to have their children checked by medical professionals.

The five children taken to Unity Health were evaluated as a precaution after their parents requested additional medical attention.
