Little Rock, Arkansas – A late-night crash along a frontage road near Interstate 30 has left one man dead, and authorities in Little Rock are continuing to piece together exactly what happened during the early morning hours over the weekend.
According to the Little Rock Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:24 a.m. on May 17, 2026, after reports came in about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 8200 block of the I-30 Frontage Road. When emergency crews arrived, they found the victim suffering from severe injuries.
Investigators later identified the pedestrian as 62-year-old David Wayne King. Police said King died at the scene before he could be transported for medical treatment. The area remained active with investigators for several hours as officers worked to document evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal impact.
So far, officials have released very few details about the incident. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects, nor have they confirmed whether the driver involved remained at the scene following the crash.
