Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A late-night shooting at a gas station in Pine Bluff left two people dead and two others injured, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the gas station located at 101 North Blake. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One victim was found lying near the store’s front entrance, while another was located in the parking lot.

Authorities said the first victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment but later died shortly after arriving.

As investigators continued working the scene, police learned that two additional men had also been wounded during the incident. Officers located them several blocks away from the gas station. Both had reportedly suffered gunshot injuries connected to the same shooting.

According to police, one of the injured men is expected to be released from the hospital soon. The second remains hospitalized and is reportedly undergoing surgery.

Witnesses told investigators that the violence erupted after a group of men exchanged gunfire outside the store. The chaotic scene unfolded in front of the business, sending bullets across the parking lot and leaving multiple people struck.

The identities of the two deceased victims have not yet been released. Police said their names will be made public once family members and next of kin have been properly notified.

Investigators have identified the two surviving suspects as 36-year-old DeShawn Sanders and 23-year-old VonKavious Briggs. According to authorities, both men are expected to face two counts of capital murder once they are discharged from the hospital.

The shooting has shaken residents in the area, where gas stations and convenience stores often serve as busy gathering spots throughout the day and night. While investigators have not publicly discussed what led to the gunfire, detectives continue gathering witness statements and reviewing evidence connected to the case.
