Whether residents are looking for a night of live entertainment or a relaxed daytime outing, the weekend calendar across the region offers a wide variety of options.

Big Shows Headline the Weekend

Friday night kicks off with a major hip-hop event at First Security Amphitheater in downtown Little Rock. The Southern Truth Tour, featuring well-known rap artists Boosie Badazz and Plies, is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. The outdoor venue along the Arkansas River has become a popular destination for large concerts, and organizers expect a sizable crowd for the performance.

Comedy fans won’t have to look far for laughs the same evening. Stand-up comedian Jessica Kirson will perform a seated show at The Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show set to begin at 8 p.m. Kirson is known for her high-energy stage presence and sharp observational humor, drawing audiences across the country.

The festival celebrates spring with cultural performances, traditional food, and activities designed for families. Visitors can expect demonstrations, music, and exhibits highlighting Japanese culture, all while marking the symbolic arrival of cherry blossom season.

Community Events and Local Gatherings

For those seeking a slower pace, several community-focused events will also take place across central Arkansas.

A wellness-focused gathering called Donna Terrell’s Yoga Warriors will be held Saturday morning at the DoubleTree Hotel Little Rock. The session runs from 10 a.m. until noon and aims to promote health, mindfulness, and community support.

Meanwhile, gardening enthusiasts can head to Laman Library for Garden Fest 2026. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers gardening tips, local vendors, and educational activities for families.

Music fans will have another option Saturday night when blues guitarist Tab Benoit performs at Revolution Music Room. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show scheduled to start an hour later.

Film lovers can check out a unique screening through the Late Night Movie Club at Birdie’s Cabaret. The club will show the film “They Call Her Death” beginning at 8 p.m., offering a late-night option for those who prefer cinema to concerts.

Sweet Treats and Easter Fun

Saturday afternoon will also feature the Sweet Experience Expo at MacArthur Park. The dessert-themed festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will showcase a variety of baked goods, sweets, and local vendors.
