Pulaski County, Arkansas – Residents in unincorporated areas of Pulaski County will have an opportunity this week to take advantage of an extra trash drop-off collection service, offering a convenient option for disposing of both solid waste and recyclables. The service, provided by Waste Management, will run daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at select locations throughout the county.

“This week, drop off collection services will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those who reside in unincorporated areas of Pulaski County,” officials said, highlighting the county’s effort to support residents who may have missed regular trash pickups due to recent winter weather.

Waste Management trucks will be stationed at three locations on consecutive days to make it easier for residents to drop off their waste. The schedule includes the Dollar General parking lot in Jacksonville on Tuesday, February 3, the Exxon Gas Station in Cabot on Wednesday, February 4, and the Circle K in North Little Rock on Thursday, February 5.

For those whose trash pickup was disrupted during the recent storm, Waste Management reassured residents that both recycled and solid waste will be collected on the next regularly scheduled service date. Extra recycled items that cannot fit into the provided cart can be placed in a cardboard box near the cart for pickup. Officials stressed that recyclables should never be placed in plastic bags.

Residents are also encouraged to leave bagged trash near their carts if their regular pickup was missed. “WM emphasizes that recyclables should never be placed in plastic bags,” officials said. This guidance is intended to ensure that all collected materials are properly sorted and can be processed efficiently.

The extra drop-off service reflects the county’s ongoing commitment to supporting proper waste management and ensuring that residents have multiple options for disposal, particularly during periods of inclement weather or service interruptions. By providing designated locations with staff on hand to assist, Pulaski County aims to reduce the burden on residents and keep neighborhoods clean and safe.

Officials urge residents to plan their visits according to the schedule, allow extra travel time for the drop-off locations, and adhere to the guidance for packaging recyclables. With this service, families and individuals in unincorporated areas have a practical solution to manage overflow trash and ensure their recyclable materials are collected and processed responsibly.

For more information and updates, residents can contact Waste Management or check Pulaski County’s official channels to confirm times and locations.
