North Little Rock shares photos showing Central Fire Station and Events Center nearing completion ahead of 2026 openings

Little Rock, Arkansas – Construction on North Little Rock’s new Central Fire Station and Events Center is nearing completion, with city officials sharing recent photos that show both projects well on their way to opening in 2026. The images, dated January 15, reveal that the main structures for each facility are largely in place, though work continues on interior and finishing touches.

City officials confirmed that the Central Fire Station is on track to open in April, while the Events Center is scheduled to welcome its first guests in March. The progress photos highlight the scale of the projects and offer a glimpse of the city’s efforts to expand public services and community spaces.

Funding for the fire station comes from a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2022 and renewed in 2023, demonstrating community support for enhanced public safety. The station is expected to provide upgraded facilities for firefighters and improved response capabilities for North Little Rock residents.

The Events Center, meanwhile, is funded through the city’s general fund and aims to serve as a hub for local gatherings, performances, and other community activities. “These new facilities are key investments in the future of North Little Rock,” city officials said. “They will enhance public safety, provide modern spaces for our community, and support the continued growth and vitality of our city.”

The photos offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the progress, showing construction crews at work and the scale of each project. Observers can see that while major structural work is complete, finishing touches such as interior installations, landscaping, and event-specific preparations are still underway.
