Willy D’s Dueling Pianos will relocate from Little Rock River Market to new North Little Rock mixed use development

North Little Rock, Arkansas – A beloved River Market hotspot is taking its piano magic across the Arkansas River. Willy D’s Dueling Pianos announced on Tuesday that after more than 20 years in Little Rock’s River Market area, the bar will relocate to North Little Rock as part of a $25 million mixed-use development next to Simmons Bank Arena.

The development, which promises to transform the area, will also include a new Aloft Hotel and an event venue, creating a vibrant entertainment hub in downtown North Little Rock. Willy D’s plans to bring its signature dueling piano experience to the new space, offering patrons a fresh atmosphere while maintaining the energy and fun that have defined the venue for decades.

“We want to sincerely thank our patrons, staff, and the Little Rock community for over 20 years of music, laughter, and unforgettable nights,” the business wrote on Facebook. “Your stories, heart, and celebrations have made Willy D’s what it is — and those memories are moving with us.” The post emphasized that the new location will feature a mezzanine, a multi-purpose stage, and an updated design, ensuring an enhanced experience for both performers and guests.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new development is scheduled for 11 a.m. on November 12 at the corner of East Broadway Street and Poplar Street in North Little Rock. The event will mark the official start of construction for the venue and surrounding development.

Willy D’s move comes amid a wave of changes at the River Market. Over the past two years, several businesses have exited the entertainment district, leaving long-time patrons reflecting on the shifting landscape. Yet, new additions are also making their mark, with establishments like Insomnia Cookies and the burger restaurant Hazel’s Public House planning to open in the area, signaling continued growth and evolution.

The relocation to North Little Rock represents not only a change in geography but also an opportunity for Willy D’s to expand its offerings and attract a new audience. The updated design and multi-purpose stage will allow for greater flexibility in hosting events, performances, and private gatherings.

For fans of Willy D’s, the move marks the end of an era in the River Market but also a fresh beginning in a bustling new development. Patrons can expect to enjoy the same energetic dueling piano performances, now paired with modern amenities and a reimagined space built to elevate the overall entertainment experience.

More details about the new development and the relocation of Willy D’s Dueling Pianos are available in a press release on NabProp.com. The North Little Rock community, along with longtime fans, are eagerly anticipating the opening and the return of music, laughter, and unforgettable nights to a brand-new stage.
