Garland County woman wins 50,000 lottery prize after saying sometimes the tickets talk to you

Garland County, Arkansas – A local woman is celebrating a major win after hitting a top prize in an Arkansas lottery game. Katherine S., a resident of Garland County, won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Frenzy instant game, purchased at Good Spirits in Hot Springs.

Lottery officials say Katherine was looking for a little relief from the pressures of her job when the instant game caught her eye. “Sometimes the tickets talk to you,” she said. “And it was talking to me that day.” Her intuition proved lucky, as the ticket revealed the game’s top prize almost immediately after she scratched it off.

Despite the clear win, Katherine said she initially had a hard time believing it. “It was a little surreal,” she told lottery officials. After the excitement settled, she shared her plans for the money. Katherine intends to save a portion of her winnings while also using some of the funds to complete home renovation projects, a goal she’s had for some time.

The $50,000 Frenzy game still has 25 top prizes remaining, giving other players a chance at substantial winnings. The game has drawn attention across the state for its large prize pool and fast-paced instant format. Lottery officials encourage participants to play responsibly while enjoying the thrill of the game.
