Arkansas Tech University will welcome students and families to campus for Family Day 2025 celebration

Russellville, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech University is set to welcome students, families, and friends for its annual Family Day event on Saturday, Sept. 27. The campus will be buzzing with activities, sports, and community gatherings designed to celebrate the university and bring the ATU family together.

The day will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a pickleball tournament at the Clary Pickleball Courts, giving attendees a chance to enjoy friendly competition and get active early in the morning. The tournament is expected to draw students, alumni, and family members looking for a fun way to start the festivities.

Later in the afternoon, attention will shift to Centennial Plaza, where tickets for the Family Day football game will be available for pickup. Tickets can be collected starting at 2 p.m. at the ATU Parent and Family Relations tent, with 250 complimentary tickets offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The football matchup will feature Arkansas Tech University taking on the University of Arkansas at Monticello, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. at Simmons Bank Field at Throne Stadium.

Before the game, families and students can gather for a tailgate on the Centennial Plaza lawn starting at 3 p.m. This pre-game celebration will provide food, entertainment, and a chance to socialize with other members of the ATU community. The event is open to current students and their families, but prospective students and their families are also encouraged to attend, offering a glimpse of campus life and the vibrant community at ATU.

Family Day 2025 promises to combine athletic excitement, social gatherings, and fun competitions, reinforcing the sense of community that Arkansas Tech University is known for. It’s an opportunity for families to reconnect, for students to share their college experiences, and for everyone to celebrate the traditions and spirit of the university.
