Fordyce, Arkansas – Authorities in Fordyce are investigating the deaths of an elderly couple found unresponsive inside their home on West 4th Street on Monday morning. The incident has prompted a response from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Arkansas State Police, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Fordyce Police Department.

According to officials, deputies and local officers arrived at the residence after receiving a report of two individuals who were unresponsive inside the home. Upon entering, authorities discovered the bodies of 81-year-old David Parham and 70-year-old Holly Parham. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

“Special agents and deputies responded promptly to the call,” a spokesperson for the Arkansas State Police said. “We are working closely with local authorities to determine the circumstances surrounding these deaths.”

The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the bodies will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for further examination. The lab’s findings will help officials understand what led to the couple’s deaths and whether any foul play was involved.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the condition of the home or any signs of forced entry. Investigators are treating the scene carefully and gathering information from neighbors and any potential witnesses in the area.

This tragic event has left the Fordyce community in shock. Friends and neighbors described the couple as well-known residents of the area, and the news of their deaths has generated concern and sadness throughout the small town.

At this time, authorities emphasize that the investigation is ongoing, and no further information about possible suspects or contributing factors has been released. The community is being asked to allow officials to complete their work and await the results from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.
