North Little Rock police continue investigation into fatal shooting that occurred near Camp Robinson Road late Saturday night

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Police in North Little Rock are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night near Camp Robinson Road, leaving one man dead and a neighborhood shaken.

According to a statement shared on social media by the North Little Rock Police Department, officers responded to a call reporting a shooting at a home near the intersection of Camp Robinson Road and Oakview Drive. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man inside the residence who had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

The man was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment, but officials later confirmed that he died from his injuries. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity as they continue notifying family members and conducting their investigation.

“Detectives arrived at the scene and began gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses,” the police department said. “During the investigation, officers located a person of interest and are currently speaking with them.” Police have not indicated whether the person is a suspect, and no arrests have been announced.

The quiet neighborhood where the shooting happened is now the center of a growing investigation. Residents in the area expressed concern over the violence, saying incidents like this are rare and unsettling.

As of Sunday afternoon, law enforcement officials had not disclosed the motive behind the shooting or the events that led up to it. The scene was cordoned off with police tape for several hours while detectives worked to collect evidence and canvass the area for any witnesses who might have seen or heard anything unusual.
