Little Rock Police arrest 26-year-old man after chaotic shooting incident at apartment complex on John Barrow Road

Little Rock, Arkansas – A 26-year-old man has been arrested following a chaotic shooting incident that took place Monday at an apartment complex on John Barrow Road in Little Rock.

According to the Little Rock Police Department, Devonte Curry was taken into custody after officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Trinity Village Townhomes. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Curry with a noticeable cut on his face.

The situation quickly unfolded into a crime scene with multiple reports of shots being fired between several individuals. Witnesses at the apartment complex told police they saw multiple men running through the area, exchanging gunfire. The shooting left a trail of damage, including shattered apartment windows and bullet holes in several nearby vehicles.

Authorities said Curry was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injury. While there, detectives said he admitted to being involved in the shooting.

He has since been charged with two counts of terroristic acts and is currently being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility without bond.

“This was a dangerous and reckless act that could have harmed innocent people,” one officer said at the scene, noting how lucky it was that no bystanders were injured during the incident.

Police confirmed that three other individuals who were at the scene were detained but later released without charges. The investigation is still ongoing as detectives work to determine what led to the shooting and whether others may be charged in the future.
