Former nail technician from North Little Rock sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a customer during a salon appointment

Little Rock, Arkansas – A former North Little Rock nail technician has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a customer during a salon appointment. Andrew Nguyen, who once worked at a local nail salon, was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault in connection with the disturbing incident.

The case gained significant attention after the victim came forward to report the assault, which took place during a routine salon visit. Following a thorough investigation by the North Little Rock Police Department, Nguyen was charged and subsequently convicted. The prosecution highlighted the severity of the crime and the impact it had on the victim, emphasizing the importance of justice for those who are victimized in their community.

Prosecuting Attorney Will Jones expressed his gratitude for the efforts of all involved in securing the conviction. “This conviction underscores our commitment to pursuing justice for victims in our community,” Jones said. “I am grateful for the diligent investigative work by the North Little Rock Police Department and the dedication of prosecutors Corinne Kwapis and Melissa Brown, as well as the entire prosecution team. The case was brought to court with the support of the North Little Rock Police Department, and the prosecution team was led by Jones, along with Deputy Prosecutors Corinne Kwapis and Melissa Brown. Their work helped ensure that justice was served and that the victim’s voice was heard in the legal process.
