The first two wrestlers for the Hot Springs All Star Sumo competition have been revealed

Hot Springs, Arkansas – The first two contestants announced by USA Sumo to compete in a tournament in Hot Springs are two sumo superstars.

On April 11, the Bank OZK Arena will host the All-Star Sumo elite round-robin sumo wrestling tournament.

During the city’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival, six renowned sumo champions will square off for the Hot Springs Cup in a head-to-head competition.

The tournament will include two-time United States Sumo Open champion “The Mongolian Superstar” Mendee and Ichi, the winner of the Emperor’s Cup, the top pro sumo competition.

Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs, stated, “We anticipate a fantastic turnout for this fantastic sporting event for Hot Springs.” Both Ichi and Mendee are crowd-pleasers and the winner of the sport’s greatest accolade returns for an all-star elite competition. Ichi is returning for a head-to-head match after joining us for the sumo show during the Cherry Blossom Festival last year.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets for general admission are $25, while floor seats cost $55. On February 9, tickets will go on sale and be accessible at Ticketmaster.com.
