African penguin babies at the Little Rock Zoo are still doing well

Little Rock, Arkansas – On Wednesday, the Little Rock Zoo provided an update on five 2024-hatched African penguin chicks.

According to zoo officials, all five of the chicks are thriving and doing well. The chicks are crucial in increasing awareness of conservation efforts because African penguins are reportedly considered highly endangered.

August 2024 saw the birth of the first of the five penguins, with the other chicks following shortly after.

Arkansans are being invited by the Little Rock Zoo to see the penguin chicks as they start to explore the Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe.

To meet the needs of the newest penguin hatchlings, there is also a Penguin Chick Amazon Wish List.
