A student from Little Rock High School will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York

Little Rock, Arkansas – Mitchell Cohen, a Little Rock high school student who has been singing since he could speak, will perform on a larger platform in February.

In New York City, Cohen will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing with an ensemble choir that includes international pupils.

“Surreal,” Cohen remarked. “Just because of a performance venue of that caliber and the fact that only 100 of the 9,000 kids who auditioned were accepted.”

According to Cohen, he has been taking voice lessons since seventh grade in order to reach this position, although he is still training.

Cohen said, “I’ll be collaborating with Dr. Robert Holden at UCA.” There, he works as an opera coach. merely to receive additional instruction in that traditional method.

Cohen expressed gratitude to the Natural State for enabling him to follow his passion and expressed hope that this new chance will help him reach greater heights.

Cohen remarked, “There are a ton of incredible opportunities to do theater and what I love, especially in central Arkansas.”

The show is scheduled for February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Carnegie Hall.
