Hundreds benefit from holiday donations at the Little Rock Compassion Center

Little Rock, Arkansas – William Holloway, the director of the Little Rock Compassion Center, said community donations made it possible to help about 1,600 people in only two days.

“We fed 800 meals yesterday at Christmas, and it looks like we’re going to feed almost another 800 today,” Holloway stated.

He claimed that the economy is having a negative impact despite their efforts to assist those in need.

“A lot more people out here who don’t have the money to have everything are being hurt by inflation,” Holloway stated.

According to him, the individuals they assist frequently struggle to pay for groceries, rent, and other household conveniences.

Despite the fact that the number of people in need has doubled, Holloway said the center is making an effort to assist.

According to him, “We’re about 100 meals ahead of last year at this time.”

According to Holloway, the facility needs donations to keep coming in. He declared, “We’ll take food, money, anything at all.” “We need cards and clothes.”
