Sgt. of the Arkansas State Police receives recognition for his commitment to first responders’ mental health

Little Rock, Arkansas – An Arkansas State Police sergeant has recently been recognized for his commitment to supporting the mental health of first responders.

On Friday, the ASP announced that Sergeant Chuck Lewis received the United States Presidential Service Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ (NAMI) Arkansas Board of Directors.

“Sgt. Lewis received acknowledgment for his exceptional commitment to the mental well-being of first responders in Arkansas,” the release stated. “In recognition of the extensive time dedicated to supporting first responders and their families during and following a crisis.”

NAMI Arkansas operates as a private, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals in the Natural State who are experiencing mental illness, along with their families and the broader community.
